I'm a robotics and control engineer. I've spent years designing robots, writing the software that runs them, and competing at national and world championships, where the only thing that counts is whether it works on the day.
Aremora is that same engineering, pointed at the air, light, and sun around you. It's product #1 of a 10-year hardware company, and I'm building it in the open.
A small solar cell harvests the light already around you. daylight, office lights, a lamp by the window. In normal indoor and outdoor life it tops up faster than it drains. Leave it in a dark drawer for weeks and it simply sleeps until it sees light again.
UV, air quality, estimated CO₂, temperature, humidity, vitamin D, and ambient and spectral light. over twenty environmental signals. Readings land on your iPhone, Apple Watch, and in Apple Health.
Apple Watch and iPhone at launch. Data writes into Apple Health, so it sits alongside whatever else you track there. Garmin support is a planned Kickstarter stretch goal; Android comes in a later wave.
It's built for personal, real-time awareness, the trends and changes in your immediate surroundings, not laboratory-grade measurement. CO₂, for instance, is estimated. Think "is this room getting stuffy, is the UV high right now," not "certified lab reading."

Your data is yours. It stays on your device by default and writes into Apple Health, which Apple keeps private. Any cloud features will be opt-in, never required.
Aremora launches on Kickstarter soon, with fulfillment in the months after the campaign closes. Waitlist members get exact dates first.
It's named after the remora, the little fish that hitches a ride on sharks. The shark could swim alone forever, but life's easier with the remora along. That's Aremora for your Apple Watch: it doesn't replace it, it just makes it better at sensing the world around you.
The waitlist is free. After you join, you'll have the option to lock your super-early-bird price with a fully refundable $1 reservation. It just tells us you're serious and puts you first in line on launch day. Completely optional.
